1. Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP)
The industry standard for aftermarket body panels. We utilize high-grade fiberglass mats and premium resin systems.
- Advantages: Highly cost-effective, exceptionally strong, and easy to repair. FRP allows for complex molding of deep vents and cowl inductions without structural compromise.
- Manufacturing: Hand-laid or vacuum-infused for optimal resin-to-glass ratio, ensuring a lightweight yet rigid panel that resists warping under high engine bay temperatures.
- Finish: Delivered with a premium gel-coat or high-build primer, ready for final paint matching.
2. Carbon Fiber (Wet & Dry Carbon)

- Advantages: Exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. Carbon fiber hoods significantly reduce front-end weight, improving handling and fuel efficiency. The distinct woven pattern offers a premium, high-performance look.
- Manufacturing: We offer both Wet Carbon (glossy resin finish, great for street aesthetics) and Dry Carbon (pre-preg autoclave cured, maximum strength, and lighter weight for racing applications).
- Finish: UV-resistant clear coat applied to prevent yellowing and protect the carbon weave from sun damage.
3. Aluminum (OEM-Style Replacement)

- Material Selection for Manufacturing:
- FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic): The industry standard for aftermarket hoods. Lightweight, highly moldable for complex vent designs, and cost-effective for bulk production.
- Carbon Fiber (Wet or Dry Carbon): Premium option for weight reduction and high-end aesthetics. Offers excellent tensile strength.
- Aluminum: Available for custom OEM-style replacements. Heavier than FRP but offers excellent heat dissipation and durability.
- Fitment Precision (Data-to-Tooling): Custom hoods must align perfectly with the vehicle's fenders, grille, and headlights. Tekmodi utilizes 3D scanning of OEM vehicles to create master molds, ensuring a zero-gap fit and using the factory latch and hinge mounting points.
- Style Customization:
- Cowl Induction: Features a raised rear section near the windshield to draw in cooler air.
- Vented / Louvered: Features cutouts (with or without mesh) to extract engine bay heat, ideal for heavy towing or high-performance applications.
- Raptor / Off-road Style: Aggressive styling with large scoops and vents, often mimicking high-end off-road trims.
