Tekmodi® Technical Mounting Notes
- One-Piece Die-Cast Brackets: The Tekmodi Armored Crossbars feature one-piece die-cast aluminum brackets (as seen in your product imagery) designed to clamp onto the bed rail without drilling. For trucks equipped with a factory T-slot track (e.g., Retrax XR, Mountain Top EVO-M, or Tekmodi Roller Shutters), a T-slot adapter is required.
- Bed Rail Compatibility: For the installation to be secure, the crossbar brackets must grip a flat or grooved bed rail. If your truck features a plastic bed rail cap (common on F-150, Silverado, Ram), the cap may need to be trimmed or removed for a solid metal-on-metal clamp.
- Tonneau Cover Interference: These crossbars are designed to sit above the bed rail. If you are running a roll-up or retractable tonneau cover, ensure the crossbar brackets do not obstruct the cover’s travel path.
- Load Capacity: The 300KG rating is per pair (dynamic). Always distribute weight evenly and check the torque on the mounting bolts after the first 100km of driving.
