Tekmodi® Bike Rack Fitment Engineering Notes

1. Hitch Receiver Size is the Primary Variable: For hitch-mounted bike racks, confirm whether the vehicle has a 2" (Class III/IV) or 1.25" (Class I/II) receiver. Most full-size and mid-size pickups use 2" receivers; compact trucks (Ford Maverick) may use 1.25". Tekmodi can supply adapters if needed.
2. Bed Rail Mounting: For bed-mounted racks (crossbar or track systems), the rack clamps to the factory bed rail or utility track. This is compatible with most pickups that have exposed bed rails, but not compatible with closed bed rails (e.g., Honda Ridgeline, Rivian R1T) unless a specific adapter kit is used.
3. Spare Tire Mounting: If the Tekmodi rack is a spare-tire-mounted design, it is compatible with vehicles that have an exposed rear spare tire carrier (e.g., Jeep Wrangler/Gladiator, Land Rover Defender, Tank 300).
4. Tonneau Cover Interference: If the truck is equipped with a roller shutter or hard tonneau cover, a bed-mounted bike rack may require a T-slot adapter or may not be compatible depending on the cover's rail system. Verify clearance before recommending.
