- Wheelbase & Cab Configuration: Foot steps are highly sensitive to wheelbase length. A step designed for a Crew Cab (short bed) will not fit a Single Cab (long bed) of the same model. The table above specifies the most common Double/Crew Cab configuration. Always confirm the exact cab type before ordering.
- New Energy Pickups (BYD Shark 6, Changan Hunter): These models have different chassis layouts and battery pack placements compared to traditional ICE pickups. Tekmodi’s mounting brackets for these models are specifically designed to avoid interference with high-voltage battery components and factory underbody shielding .
- Rock Slider vs. Foot Step: For off-road applications, Tekmodi also offers heavy-duty rock sliders (functioning as both steps and chassis protection). These require confirmation of the vehicle’s body mount locations and may not be compatible with models that have factory side airbag sensors in the sill area.
