Receiver Size & Class: The product shown is a 2-inch receiver (typically Class III/IV). Verify whether the vehicle requires a Class III (up to 6,000 lbs GTW) or Class IV (up to 10,000 lbs GTW) hitch based on the intended towing application.
Frame Mounting vs. Bumper Mounting: The tow bar pictured is a frame-mounted receiver (bolts to the vehicle frame rails, not the bumper). This is the correct type for towing and load-bearing accessories. Confirm the vehicle's frame rail spacing and existing mounting holes before recommending.
Rear Bumper Interference: For vehicles with rear parking sensors, a step bumper, or a factory hitch cover, the tow bar's receiver tube may need to extend past the bumper. Verify clearance with the vehicle's rear bumper design.
Wiring Harness: A tow bar alone does not provide trailer lighting. Tekmodi recommends pairing with a vehicle-specific 7-pin or 4-pin wiring harness for complete towing capability. Wiring harness fitment is separate from tow bar fitment.
